Employee sponsoring

Time and time again it becomes obvious that many employees of the company BORBET are gifted with outstanding talent - be it in sports or in the artistic areas. BORBET is committed to support these employees. This is why the company offers lucrative sponsoring services, for example in disciplines such as triathlon and cycling, up to and including off-road rallying.

Jürgen Niggemann

Jürgen Niggemann, an employee in the Hallenberg-Hesborn paint shop who, in his leisure time, has been active as a teacher for hang-gliding and paragliding, an alpine climber and participant in various expeditions to hang-gliding adventures, has been supported by the BORBET company for some time.

Niggemanns goal is it to climb the “7 Summits”, i.e. the highest mountain tops of each continent, and then to soar above them with the paraglider.

His recent expedition, sponsored by Borbet, took Niggemann to the Mount Everest this year.

Bike Team BORBET Austria
One of the biggest highlights of 2011 was the VAUDE MountainBIKE Trans Schwarzwald, which took place for the fifth time on Sunday, 15 August. Almost 500 participants took on this challenging course with seven legs, which totalled 538 kilometres with approximately 14,300 metres in height difference – including 6 riders and as many attendants from the Borbet Bike Team. Besides numerous world-class athletes, many ambitious hobby cyclists from all over Europe were present at the start to master this challenge. Amongst these were 6 riders (Aigner Herbert, Bruckbauer Haimo, Hamminger Norbert, Jambura Christof, Walek Wolfgang and Zauner Günther) from the Bike Team Borbet, of which 4 work for Borbet Austria GmbH. The cyclists from the Innviertel painstakingly prepared for this season’s highlight in the months prior and competed in the single rider category. They were provided for by six attendants, of whom Ms. Birgit Mahanj and Mr. Walter Eberhardt also work for Borbet Austria GmbH. The challenge began in Sasbachwalden, and over the course of 7 days it stretched onwards via Bad Wildbad, Freudenstadt and Bad Rippoldsau towards Schonach and Grafenhausen to the final destination of Feldberg. For the first three days, the cyclists endured constant rain, cold temperatures and the most adverse ground conditions. Despite the external factors, the Borbet Austria cyclists managed to position themselves in the middle of the dense pack of riders. After the weather slowly began to improve after the fourth leg, the MTB cyclists finished at the highest point in the Black Forest, the Feldberg, greeted by rays of sunshine. The riders were warmly received by their attendants, and at least at the subsequent celebration the Austrians could take first place. This year, the Sport1 TV channel was once again a media partner for this event, broadcasting two hours of this mountain biking highlight in a televised report.

Heinz Janson
It all started in 1986, when he bought a mountain bike and started taking part in short tours. Cycle racing had a firm grip on him and he participated in numerous local, regional and national amateur races. His enthusiasm grew, as did his skills and endurance. In 2010, he gained an overall ranking of 15th (from a field of 200) at the NRW Marathon Trophy.

He has being wanting to pass his enthusiasm for mountain biking on to others whilst at the same time, teaching exactly the same people how to treat nature with responsibility for a long time now. He has done just that this year! As a mountain bike guide! Go to www.heinz-biketouren.de, you will find everything there: loads of information on mountain biking, magnificent impressions of Hallenberg and the surrounding area and obviously diverse tour offers for both beginners and professionals.
