Equestrian Sports

BORBET - Reitsport SponsoringHappy is he who can see the world from horseback”, says a popular German proverb, and the BORBET corporation can relate to that. Equestrian sports have been among the first sports that BORBET has actively supported. Ever since, the corporation has sponsored numerous talented athletes in equestrianism.

Nicole Uphoff
Nicole Uphoff has been active in equestrianism since her youth, and she has achieved great success. She is considered one of the best German dressage riders and has won, among other titles, four Olympic gold medals for Germany, on the exceptional horse Rembrandt. The Westfalen gelding was the first show horse to be named after his sponsor, namely Rembrandt BORBET.

International Horse Show in Ranshofen
The international 2* show jumping event took place for the third time but it was the first time for the Ranshofen Trotting Day; the best conditions for exciting international equestrian sport and extensive Upper Austrian flair.
This was already the third time in succession that RC Hofinger has staged an international 2-star jumping event in the scope of the Ranshofen equestrian sport summer, in addition to it showing an international first on Saturday (21 August) with the 1st Ranshofen Trotting day: the first highly official international trotting day took place on the neighbouring meadow which had been especially prepared for this purpose. Five races were run with 10 starters each, whereby one of them was dedicated to the socialites and even a Minister from the Austrian Government has also announced his presence at the subsequent celebrations in the party marquee. 70 active participants took part in the Silver Tour, hoping to win the Borbet Austria prize and in keeping with the advertising sponsor, which has a name as an innovative partner form the automotives industry, they all gave everything. The fastest came from Germany and sat in the saddle of a 12 year-old Württemberg mare: Uli Collee only needed 57.83 seconds with his “Bella S“, which not only gave him the first place, but he was also almost exactly one second faster than the Romanian Andy Candin who came in second with the son of Ehrentusch “El Paso of Kenia“, that also got up speed.
