ExaPeel
BORBET developed the ExaPeel technique for maximum wheel personalisation. With this technique, the top of two paint layers is "erased" with a precision laser with µ precision and in any desired design. This reveals the paint layer below, resulting in a two-coloured wheel that leaves no wish unfulfilled - from large areas to text to the most delicate patterns. A clear coat layer seals the individual design and ensures absolute colourfastness. For the first time, the desire for individuality and special editions meets a solution that sacrifices neither longevity nor quality and is made without the use of toxic substances.
FlowForming
The secrets of automated FlowForming are turning and pressure: the material of a wheel blank is condensed under high rotation and simultaneously milled into the desired shape. The result is a very lightweight workpiece that is distinguished by increased stability with consistently low material usage. Especially good for saving on resources: 100% of the raw material is used in FlowForming. There are no remnants or waste.
Undercut
Undercut describes an automated technique through which all non-bearing areas of the rim bed are removed through precision milling. The material removed then directly enters the integrated recycling process, which provides new raw materials of identical quality. The result of the Undercut procedure is a lower wheel weight, providing more efficient use of the materials used.
NatureWheel
In this complex procedure, a natural mineral is pulverised and transformed into a malleable mass thanks to the addition of another natural bonding agent. Using mechanical pressure to shape it into the form of a wheel skeleton, the component is then integrated into the die cast. There it forms all non-bearing areas of the wheel core. The NatureWheel technique reduces the wheel weight immensely. At the same time, the use of natural, non-toxic minerals greatly reduce the use of light metals.
