What exactly does an industrial clerk (m/f/d) do?

During your apprenticeship, you will get to know the various departments and areas of responsibility. In order to give you a sound and the corresponding specialist knowledge, you will work in the following departments at BORBET:


• Human Resources

• Financial accounting

• Purchasing

• Sales

• Marketing

• Work Preparation

• Shipping/Logistics/Goods Receipt

• Quality Management

• Key-Account Assistance


Minimum qualifications: secondary school leaving certificatese


Duration of the apprenticeship:  approx. 3.5 years

• Interest in commercial contexts and processes

• Diligence and accuracy

• Communication skills

• Expressiveness and feeling for language

• Mathematical understanding and logical thinking

• Good command of written and spoken English

7.30 AM

I have a little leeway when it comes to starting work. I can start working between 7:00am and 8:00am.  
to work. First I start the computer and answer the incoming customer requests.


8.00 AM

I unlock my phone for incoming calls, so that my colleagues and our suppliers can reach me.

 

9.00 AM

In production, a component for a machine is urgently needed because this machine is at a standstill.
I check in SAP (business management system) whether the part has been ordered by us and whether an order confirmation has been received.

9.15 AM

The part has already been ordered.
I call our supplier and ask when the part will arrive in the goods receiving department.
After I receive the information, I pass it on to my colleague, the person who ordered the machine part.


12.30 PM

Now it's lunch break! I sit out in the sunshine with my colleagues and talk to them about about professional and private topics.


1.00 PM

A number of orders have gone out and therefore a lot of order confirmations have been received. I digitally assign them to the corresponding orders and compare the order conditions.


2.30 PM

An employee needs consumables for production. I check our merchandise management system and find that we have several suppliers for this item. I get quotes from the suppliers and then compare the purchase prices, delivery times and article specifications. I then order the I order the goods together with my colleague.


3.15 PM

I attach the quotation to the order and now wait for the order confirmation of the order.


4.00 PM

After eight hours of work, I have earned the end of the day. So: Off home
