Investment for the future

BORBET builds a new production hall

Hallenberg-Hesborn. Things are happening at BORBET. With the construction of a new production hall at the Hallenberg-Hesborn location, the present area will be almost doubled to become 14,500 m². In order to realize this plan, the old toolmaking department first had to be torn down and relocated in a hall twice the size across from the main plant. This change makes it possible in the future to produce all of the company’s dies on site – in cooperation with the toolmaking department of AAG in Ranshofen. The job training department will profit from this, too, since the hall also accommodates a professional training workshop.

New hall from Fa. BORBET

The core of the newly built production hall will be a highly modern, painting line which fulfils the latest requirements of the automobile industry. The painting capacity is 500 wheels per hour. Connected to the painting line is a warehouse, in which the wheels for retail are stored. They no longer have to be transported to Medebach. This is an active contribution to environmental protection along with the use of water-based paint and thermal and regenerative post-combustion.

The new painting line will be commissioned in 2008. Afterwards, the old facility will be torn down, and in the part of the hall that becomes vacant, two heat treatment systems will be installed. Mechanical processing will become completely automated. The flow of material is facilitated by state-of-the-art conveyor equipment. With this investment, approx. two million wheels per year will be produced for profit at the Hesborn location, so that the future of the site is
secured.
