This company from Germany’s Sauerland region supports local luger
Olympic luge champion Sandra Kiriasis has been sponsored since the beginning of the current World Cup Season 2010/2011 by light metal wheel manufacturer BORBET. Beginning immediately, the 35-year-old athlete from Winterberg will display the BORBET company logo and colours on the deflectors of her high-tech bobsled called Firebolt.

2010-11-24 - The winner of our guessing game has been drawn.
A competition was held on the BORBET and CW Fahrzeugtechnik stand at the MY CAR tuning trade fair between 11 and 14 November 2010. The task was to estimate how many BORBET hub caps were in a glass column. We were most amazed to discover that we had two winners. We therefore congratulate H. Janitschek from Grünkraut and R. Schröter from Bad Waldsee who have each won a gift voucher which they can exchange for a set of BORBET aluminium alloy wheels. We wish you both great fun with the wheels and a good trip at all times!

They came, they saw, they conquered – this perfectly sums up the debut presentation of the new high-tech design CW1 and CW2 wheels from the BORBET subsidiary CW Fahrzeugtechnik at the recent “My Car” convention. These sophisticated, innovative wheels proved to be a real magnet for industry insiders and end consumers alike, making a big impression in the tuning sector.

As always – in the meanwhile it is the third event of its kind - 10 tuned vehicles awaited the final decision this time around at the My Car auto fair in Dortmund.
The participants came from all over Germany and Austria to present their vehicles over all four fair days.
At 10:30 a.m. on Friday, 12 November, the jury met at the 550-square-meter Borbet stand to inspect the participants’ vehicles, including lovingly tuned classics like a BMW E36 or a Golf III convertible, an elegant Audi TT, as well as seldom seen equipped versions of cars like the Hyundai Accent or a Trabant.
The respective car owners were ready to answer the jury’s questions.
The jury consisted of: Carsten Hesse (Borbet Radcarsten), Thomas Schröder (Borbet area sales leader and a hardcore tuning enthusiast), Mike Lipinski (ML Design, one of the tuning experts in the Ruhrgebiet area), Linda Totzauer (Borbet Ad Star 2009, Battenberg, Germany), Harry Hoffmann (Hoffmann Fachverlag Auto Zubehör & News publishing), and Stefan Martern (Delius Klasing VW Speed).
