Fire brigade operation at BORBET Solingen: Production continues without disruption.
On Tuesday, 11.05.2021, the local fire brigade was called out at the BORBET plant in Solingen.A thermal reaction took place outside in an IPC container in which aluminium sludge is stored for disposal.
No one was harmed in the process and nothing was destroyed. The thermal reaction did not cause a fire, but was associated with noise and with a lot of steam. The IPC containers were pulled apart and opened so that they could cool down professionally under supervision.
"Thanks to the professional cooperation with the local fire brigade and the prudent approach of our officers, the situation was quickly overlooked. We are glad that our emergency procedures worked excellently and no one was injured." is how plant manager Kai Berger sums up the eventful day.
Production at BORBET Solingen GmbH is already running again.
