QUALITY WHEELS "MADE BY BORBET THÜRINGEN": HAND IN HAND FOR 20 YEARS.

BORBET Thüringen GmbH is celebrating a significant milestone this year: 20 years of successful partnerships, innovative strength and passion for light alloy wheels.

The anniversary celebration took place last Saturday, 12 August 2023, at the company premises in Bad Langensalza.

In 2002, the company founder Peter-Wilhelm Borbet decided on Bad Langensalza as the new BORBET location. The first BORBET light alloy wheel rolled off the production line in 2003, and a lot has happened since then: through continuous investment, the plant has developed into the largest and most innovative production site for light alloy wheels in Europe. Currently, around 1,000 employees (m/f/d) produce approx. 3.5 million wheels annually on a production area of 55,000 m2.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary, Dr. Claus-Michael Honsel, Managing Director of BORBET Thüringen GmbH, did not miss the opportunity to host a celebration for the employees and their families as well as local representatives. Dr Honsel has been in charge of the site since February 2014. He has played a key role in shaping the development of the company over the years and has made BORBET Thüringen GmbH the pioneer in the industry that it is today. In November, Dr Andreas Güntner will take up his position as Managing Director at BORBET Thüringen as Dr Honsel's successor and will continue to drive the plant forward.

Mrs. Borbet, Managing Director of BORBET GmbH and Chairwoman of the Foundation Board, congratulated on behalf of the entire family on the occasion of the anniversary and emphasised in her speech: "20 years represent a remarkable journey that we have travelled hand in hand with our employees and business partners. We are proud of what we have achieved and look forward to celebrating this special occasion with everyone who has contributed to our success. I would particularly like to highlight the close bond and mutual trust we have built between the staff and management over two decades."

A varied supporting programme ensured that the day was an unforgettable experience for young and old alike. As a lasting souvenir, all visitors received a T-shirt specially designed for the occasion. A photo box gave the guests the opportunity to take home one or two souvenir photos of the successful day.
