We recognise that offsetting in the automotive industry, with its complex supply chains and processes, is not always avoidable. Nevertheless, we endeavour to offset only when all other avoidance options have been exhausted. This means that we actively promote environmentally friendly and resource-conserving practices in all areas of our company.
Overall, we endeavour to play a pioneering role in sustainability in the automotive industry. We are committed to a sustainable future in which environmental impact is minimised and social responsibility is embraced. This is the path we are taking as a family business to make a positive contribution and create lasting value for future generations.
In its management policy, BORBET has always been committed to sustainable development - with the aim of achieving maximum profitability and productivity with optimum utilisation of resources, but also with the obligation to integrate environmental protection and the health and safety of employees into all processes in the long term.

BORBET SUCCESSFULLY ASI CERTIFIED

Margot Borbet, CEO of BORBET GmbH: "We are very pleased about the ASI certification, as it perfectly complements our commitment to harmonising high quality with our ecological, social and ethical standards."
The ASI, a global non-profit organisation, has set itself the goal of creating greater sustainability and transparency along the entire aluminium value chain for the responsible use of aluminium as a raw material. To this end, a standard has been developed that defines all steps from bauxite mining to aluminium processing and recycling, and monitors and certifies compliance with environmental and social aspects in this context.
As a metalworking company, BORBET takes its responsibility very seriously and has been increasing the efficiency of its use of materials from the very beginning. This is achieved through a design that is improved by means of a life cycle analysis - using special production techniques, a comprehensive system for recycling process waste and a recycling strategy at the end of product use.
BORBET is currently actively tackling the ecological challenges with further projects and thus making its contribution to the sustainable production of quality bikes "Made by BORBET".

BEEHIVES AT THE BORBET LOCATIONS

"For us at BORBET, it's more than just a beehive. It is a symbolic step to emphasise our commitment to sustainability. We don't just want to produce wheels, we also want to have a positive impact on the environment and sensitise our employees and the community to ecological issues," emphasises Nicole Prestele, Sustainability Manager at BORBET.
The care of the beehive is in the hands of the dedicated employee, who will not only look after the well-being of the bees, but also the communication and participation of the employees. BORBET plans to provide regular updates to share the progress of the project and further raise awareness of sustainable practices.
The introduction of the beehive is an integral part of BORBET's comprehensive sustainability strategy. The company aims to promote environmentally friendly practices in all areas of the business and to make sustainable behaviour a matter of course.
Sustainability is not just a buzzword at BORBET, but an integral part of the company's DNA. As an innovative light alloy wheel manufacturer, we actively face up to ecological challenges and thus contribute to the sustainable production of BORBET quality wheels.
