Which degree programmes are available?

We offer various dual study programmes in the commercial, technical and IT fields. As a dual student (m/f/d), you will be involved in day-to-day business, accompany exciting projects and grow through complex tasks. We are happy to serve as a practical partner – even for universities with which we do not yet have a cooperation agreement.

Key Facts

Minimum qualifications: A-levels or vocational A-levels

Duration of studies: 3 years

Training Location: Hallenberg

Possible areas of application after training: Sales, purchasing, finance/controlling, human resources, marketing, IT, project management

What you bring to the table:

A-levels or vocational A-levels with good to very good results and convincing performance in German, mathematics and English and/or in relevant subject-related subjects.
High level of motivation and commitment.
Ability to work independently.
Interest in technical or commercial contexts and processes.
Communication skills and expressiveness.
Logical thinking skills.

YOUR TASKS:

Your tasks will depend on the relevant course of study. The following tasks await you, for example, as part of a dual study program in the commercial field:

Supporting the key account managers in their daily work
Preparing offers
Processing new customer enquiries
Price maintenance
Contact person for customers
Preparation of and participation in customer appointments

YOUR WORK DAY

At BORBET, you have the choice between a technical or commercial dual study program. Here you can find out what your working day might look like as part of a business degree course:

07:00 a.m.

Thanks to flexitime, I can decide for myself when to start work – I can begin between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. After clocking in, I make my way to the office. There, I boot up my computer and reply to emails from customers and colleagues.

08:00 a.m.

I am now processing a customer enquiry. I enter the basic data such as part number, dimensions, colour code, etc. into information sheets I and II. This task can sometimes take a little longer due to the large number of different part numbers.

10:30 a.m.

After I have transferred the data to the information sheets, Information Sheet II is forwarded to my colleagues in Design & Development. There, the feasibility of the technical data is checked.

11:00 a.m.

Next, I have the task of evaluating all enquiries together with our trainee.

First, we extract the enquiry data from a programme. Due to the amount of data, this can also take a little more time.

12:30 p.m.

Now it's time to say ‘bon appétit’. I'm sitting in the office with my colleagues, chatting and having lunch with them.

13:00 p.m.

After lunch, I sit down at the computer again with our trainee to evaluate the data. Once we have entered the data from the programme into Excel, we can use it to create appropriate charts. Our goal is to compare the number of enquiries for each customer over the years.

15:30 p.m.

And just like that, it's time to call it a day. The task is very extensive and will therefore take several days to complete. I have saved my progress so far so that I can continue working on it tomorrow. Now it's time to shut down the computer, clock out and head to the car park.
