An important step into the future: Once again this year, several apprentices (m/f/d) have successfully completed their apprenticeship at BORBET, one of the leading manufacturers of light alloy wheels, and are now strengthening the BORBET team at the Hallenberg-Hesborn and Medebach sites.

Congratulations to: M. Gustin (IT specialist for system integration), L. Seliger-Lange and M. Reis (electronics technicians for industrial engineering), L. Wahle (industrial clerk) and M. Bichowski (cutting machine operator).

In addition, K. Kalverkamp and S. Thomas obtained a vocational qualification as machine and plant operators as part of a partial qualification programme. This not only emphasises BORBET's commitment to traditional vocational training, but also to promoting further qualifications.

With 150 newly planted seedlings, the BORBET trainees are sending a strong signal for nature conservation. Find out how a beehive and teamwork contribute to the future of forests here.

BORBET FOCUSES ON REGIONAL CLOSENESS TO NATURE

BORBET Baumpflanzaktion im HSK web

150 TREES FOR THE LOCAL FOREST

Last week, the industrial-technical BORBET trainees (m/f/d) planted a total of 150 seedlings in the Hesborn church forest on the Bollerberg under the expert guidance of forestry technician Eric Kroll and Wilhelm Brandenburg, a retired forester. The aim of the project is to promote biodiversity in the transition zones and to create a stable forest edge that will protect the forest behind it from strong winds and storms in the future.

At the beginning, the trainees were given an introduction to the importance of the forest edge and the characteristics of the three tree species planted - red oak, walnut and sweet chestnut. After an explanation of the various planting techniques and the necessary tools, they got straight down to work and planted the saplings as a team.

The campaign was made possible by a special sustainability approach: BORBET has been operating its own beehive at the Medebach site since spring 2023. The proceeds from the sale of honey to employees went towards financing the seedlings - a symbolic contribution from nature for nature.

"Nature conservation and regional commitment are core values for BORBET," explains Mrs Margot Borbet, Chairwoman of the BORBET Foundation Board. "As a hunter, my husband Peter Wilhelm Borbet has always been very close to nature and has always been committed to the local forest and its protection. The effects of storms like Kyrill and the consequences of increasing drought show how important it is to take action locally to protect and strengthen our forests. With projects like this planting campaign, we as a company want to play our part in preserving and promoting local forests."

This campaign is another example of BORBET's commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. Sustainability characterises our actions - today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.

BORBET Wheels
From 29 November to 8 December, the Essen Motor Show will again be the performance festival in 2024. As a leading manufacturer of wheels, BORBET will once again be demonstrating what innovation can achieve in terms of design and technology.

INNOVATION MEETS PERFECTION: WITH BORBET AT THE ESSEN MOTOR SHOW 2024.

BORBET 4386

From 29 November to 8 December, the Essen Motor Show will again be the performance festival in 2024. As a leading manufacturer of wheels, BORBET will once again be demonstrating what innovation can achieve in terms of design and technology.

The BORBET TF is the first 24-inch wheel from BORBET to turn an Audi Q8 into a real eye-catcher. The type designation stands for “twenty four” and in the elegant colour variants “graphite polished glossy” and “black rim polished glossy”, the new wheel design shows what distinguishes “Made in Germany”. The undercut process, for example, guarantees weight savings with precise shaping and enables a wheel weight of just 20.4 kilograms. With a wheel load of up to 1,050 kilograms, the new BORBET wheel is an ideal companion for many SUVs.

The visual highlight at the trade fair stand is the BORBET XV study, which sets new standards in surface finishing with its innovative hot stamp technology. The PERFORMANCE+ hot stamping technology creates breathtaking designs - from dynamic colour gradients to razor-sharp decors in photo quality. This allows surfaces to be customised and an unmistakable brand stamp to be put on the wheel. This sustainable process impresses with its abrasion resistance, UV stability and chemical resistance.

As a genuine “high load wheel”, the BORBET XV is already available in 19 inch and “black glossy” and “black polished matt” in the BORBET range. The XV wheel is designed for a wheel load of up to 910 kilograms and is already available for a large number of vehicles with ABE and ECE approval.

The BORBET DB8GT2 is a crowd-puller for all tuning fans. In spring 2025, it will be available in the new 9.5x19-inch version with an offset of 42 and a 114.3/5-hole bolt circle for the JDM market in “black matt” and “bronce matt”.

The Halo-X carbon wheels, the latest highlight from DYMAG, a leading manufacturer of high-performance wheels from the UK and recently part of the BORBET Group, will be presented in 11x20 and 13x21 inch sizes. DYMAG can look back on a history of over 40 years in the development of lightweight and innovative wheels and has made a name for itself in motorsport in particular. The Halo-X, originally developed for the racetrack, will also be available for the road with TÜV/KBA certification from the first quarter of 2025 - especially for the Porsche 992 and 911 GT3 RS vehicle types. With its magnesium centre section, a particularly slim wheel profile and high rigidity, the super-lightweight wheel sets new standards. With a weight of less than 9.5 kg in the 21-inch version and a load capacity of up to 850 kg, it stands for outstanding performance and lightweight construction expertise - proof of DYMAG's innovative strength and technical excellence.

If you want to discover now which impressive wheels will be in the spotlight next year, don't miss the BORBET stand E23 in Hall 7.

BORBET Company
BORBET Austria has been a pioneer in aluminium wheel production since 1984. Find out more about our 40-year success story, significant milestones and the company's vision for the future.

40 YEARS OF BORBET AUSTRIA

Baustelle 2

Together through generations, together into the future.

It all began in 1984 with the founding of ‘Austria Alu-Guss GmbH’ in Ranshofen. Since then, high-quality aluminium wheels have been rolling off the production line here. A significant milestone followed in 1996 when Peter Wilhelm Borbet took over the company, paving the way for BORBET to enter the European automotive industry. Today, the plant supplies well-known car manufacturers such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes-AMG, Ford and Daimler with high-quality aluminium wheels.

Managing Director Helmuth Huber has been overseeing the remarkable development of the site since 1995. In 1998, the pioneering ‘AAG2000’ project was launched, making the company a trailblazer in the industry. In 2009, AAG changed its name to BORBET Austria. Today, the company is looking to the future with the ‘BORBET Austria 2025’ project.
The success of the plant in Ranshofen is based not only on technological innovations such as smart casting and burnishing, but above all on the visionary leadership of Helmuth Huber. His ability to steer developments in the long term and motivate the workforce has made BORBET Austria what it is today - a location that sets standards.

At the big family celebration at the beginning of August, Helmuth Huber (Managing Director) and Margot Borbet (Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees and Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of BORBET Austria) honoured the 40-year success story. In their speeches, they emphasised the company's milestones and the commitment of its employees. A special moment was the honouring of 14 colleagues who have been with the company from the very beginning. These and other programme items for young and old made the day unforgettable.

BORBET Wheels
As the leading platform for the global tyre and wheel industry, THE TIRE COLOGNE is once again the perfect forum for BORBET, a global manufacturer of light alloy wheels, to present ground-breaking world premieres.

BORBET WORLD PREMIERES AT THE TIRE COLOGNE.

TTC 2024 web
The absolute highlight in 2024 will be the new BORBET TF wheel design. The type designation TF stands for “twenty four” and thus for the first 24-inch wheel from BORBET. To celebrate this special premiere, several colour variants of the design will be presented. A trend barometer will decide which colours will be included in the BORBET specialist retail range after the trade fair. In terms of technology, the new BORBET TF in an impressive 10.5x24 inches also shows what “Made in Germany” makes possible. The Performance Cut process, for example, guarantees weight savings with precise moulding. The impressive wheel load of up to 1,050 kilograms makes the new BORBET wheel the ideal companion for numerous SUVs.

As a further world premiere, BORBET is presenting the new XV wheel in the sizes 8.5x19 and 9.5x19 inches in “black polished matt” and “black glossy”. This “High Load Wheel” is designed for a wheel load of 910 kilograms and, as usual from BORBET, will be launched with ABE and even ECE approvals. The BORBET XV is available just in time for the winter season for a wide range of vehicles such as the Audi A4 and A6, BMW X3/X4, Mercedes E-Class and S-Class or Tesla Model 3 and Y.

When it comes to surfaces, BORBET shows just how innovative state-of-the-art can be. As a novelty in the product range, the surface gives the impression of raw cast aluminium. This can be combined with diamond grinding, milling and/or coloured clear lacquer, as well as with visible differences to machined surfaces. All true to the motto “less is more”.

But for those who prefer more than less from a visit to the trade fair, the BORBET source of inspiration in Hall 8.1 on Stand D30/E31 will certainly bring you up to date with the latest wheel innovations.
