ANTONIO CURIOSO IS THE NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE BORBET VERTRIEBS GMBH.

The existing BORBET team will continue to run the business in the proven manner - with Mrs Birgit Grebe-Frese and Mr Marcel Frankenstein, who is new to the position, as sales managers. Mrs Grebe-Frese is primarily responsible for the OES divisions and, in the IAM, for exports and our partnerships, while Mr Frankenstein is responsible for wholesale, tire retail and the e-commerce marketplaces. Together, they will manage sales at both locations in Medebach and Neuching, both in the office and in the field service.
“We are very much looking forward to working with Mr Curioso and further developing our already extremely strong brand,” emphasises BORBET CEO Burkhard Plett. “BORBET Vertriebs GmbH is ideally positioned to successfully promote our high-quality and innovative light alloy wheels to the relevant target groups in existing and new markets.”

40 YEARS OF BORBET AUSTRIA

Together through generations, together into the future.
It all began in 1984 with the founding of ‘Austria Alu-Guss GmbH’ in Ranshofen. Since then, high-quality aluminium wheels have been rolling off the production line here. A significant milestone followed in 1996 when Peter Wilhelm Borbet took over the company, paving the way for BORBET to enter the European automotive industry. Today, the plant supplies well-known car manufacturers such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes-AMG, Ford and Daimler with high-quality aluminium wheels.
Managing Director Helmuth Huber has been overseeing the remarkable development of the site since 1995. In 1998, the pioneering ‘AAG2000’ project was launched, making the company a trailblazer in the industry. In 2009, AAG changed its name to BORBET Austria. Today, the company is looking to the future with the ‘BORBET Austria 2025’ project.
The success of the plant in Ranshofen is based not only on technological innovations such as smart casting and burnishing, but above all on the visionary leadership of Helmuth Huber. His ability to steer developments in the long term and motivate the workforce has made BORBET Austria what it is today - a location that sets standards.
At the big family celebration at the beginning of August, Helmuth Huber (Managing Director) and Margot Borbet (Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees and Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of BORBET Austria) honoured the 40-year success story. In their speeches, they emphasised the company's milestones and the commitment of its employees. A special moment was the honouring of 14 colleagues who have been with the company from the very beginning. These and other programme items for young and old made the day unforgettable.
