BORBET welcomes eight new team members as they embark on their careers.
The start of the new training year marks the beginning of a new chapter for eight young professionals at the company's site in the Hochsauerland district. In Hallenberg-Hesborn and Medebach, they are starting their training in industrial-technical and commercial professions, including electronics technicians for industrial engineering, industrial clerks, industrial mechanics and machine and plant operators.
The joint induction days with the new trainees from BORBET Thuringia provided the perfect start. A particular highlight was the exchange with Laura Nolte, Olympic champion and world and European champion in bobsleigh. During the discussion, she talked about her career in top-level sport, how to deal with setbacks and the importance of a strong team. Her personal story, characterised by discipline, perseverance and team spirit, made it clear how much you can take from sport and apply to your professional life: ‘It's important to keep going even when you suffer setbacks, to believe in yourself and to have a good team at your side.’
Markus Stöber, BORBET works council member and 2nd chairman of BSC Winterberg e. V., then presented Laura Nolte with the award for 3rd place as squad or professional athlete of the year 2024 on behalf of the KreisSportBund (KSB) Hochsauerlandkreis.
In addition to personal exchanges, there were other items on the agenda for the trainees: they got to know each other across different professions, gained insights into the production of BORBET light alloy wheels and took part in a ‘trainee etiquette’ workshop.
Carolin Mittermaier (Head of Human Resources), Alexander Ulrich (Production Manager Hesborn) and the team of trainers also welcomed the new team members to the in-house training workshop. "Vocational training lays the foundation for a successful future, both for our junior staff and for our company. It is a central concern of ours to actively accompany and promote young talent on their way," says Carolin Mittermaier.
BORBET will once again be offering attractive apprenticeships for 2026. Interested students can find out more and apply directly at www.borbet.de/ausbildung or gain an insight into training at a global market leader through internships.
