Two young professionals begin their training at BORBET Thuringia. The kick-off event at the headquarters in Hesborn, with Olympic champion Laura Nolte as a guest, provided orientation, team spirit and motivation for this new phase in their lives.

At the start of the 2025 training programme, A. Helbing (electronics technician for industrial engineering) and H. Goraya (machine and plant operator) will begin their professional careers at BORBET Thuringia. Together with the trainees (m/f/d) from the Hochsauerland district, they were welcomed at the headquarters in Hallenberg-Hesborn and started the cross-location induction programme.
A special highlight was the exchange with Laura Nolte, Olympic champion and world and European champion in bobsleigh. During the discussion, she talked about her journey in top-level sport, dealing with setbacks and the importance of a strong team. Her personal story, characterised by discipline, perseverance and team spirit, made it clear how much you can take from sport and apply to your professional life. ‘It's important to keep going even when you suffer setbacks, to believe in yourself and to have a good team at your side,’ said Laura Nolte.
During the multi-day induction programme, the young professionals got to know each other across disciplines, gained insights into the production processes at the Hesborn site, took part in product training and attended a workshop on ‘trainee etiquette’.
Carolin Mittermaier (Head of Human Resources) and Norman Fell (Trainer) also welcomed the new team members. ‘A sound education is the key to securing skilled workers and opens up real prospects for young people,’ emphasises Mittermaier. ‘The kick-off event at the headquarters in Hesborn gave the trainees the opportunity to learn about the roots of BORBET and experience what makes up our DNA as a family business.’
