YOUR WORK DAY

6:00 a.m.

My day begins with the shift handover. There, I discuss the sequence planning for the wheels currently being painted, any malfunctions that have occurred, news and work still to be done with the previous shift.

6:15 a.m.

Next, I check the paint settings for the paint booth and then visually inspect the wheels.

6:30 a.m.

During my daily rounds, I check robots 1-3 to ensure they are functioning and adjusted correctly. I also refill the container for the balls used to cover the screw holes. In addition, I measure the layer thickness of the primer during intermediate sanding.

07:00 a.m.

Now it's time to change the wheel design. I enter the new wheel data into the panels of robots 1 and 2 and check the settings. Then I make sure that robot 3 is also programmed correctly.

08:00 a.m.

The ball container with the used balls for the screw holes is full. I will take care of emptying the container as soon as possible. The used balls will be cleaned in the ball washing machine.

09:00 a.m.

Another change to the wheel model: this time, the screw holes are covered with paint plugs instead of balls. To do this, I switch off robot 2 so that the process can continue smoothly.

12:00 p.m.

It's lunchtime. I go to the vending machine and get myself a snack.

12:30 p.m.

A colleague is testing a new paint in the designated wet paint booths. Together, we check the viscosity of the paint and he explains to me how much needs to be used.

01:15 p.m.

The end of the working day is approaching. Final preparations are being made for the shift handover. I clean the floor with the washing trolley. I also document the consumption of a big bag of powder. I use the hand scanner to log the big bag out of the system.

02:30 p.m.

Time to knock off work!
