Diary  (example paint shop)

6:00 AM

My day starts with the shift handover. There I discuss with the foreshift the sequence planning of the wheels to be of the wheels currently being painted, any faults that have occurred, any news and any work that still needs to be done.

6:15 AM

Next, I check the paint settings for the paint booth and then visually inspect the wheels.

6:30 AM

During my daily walk-around, I check robots 1-3 for proper operation and settings. I also fill the container for the balls that cover the screw-on holes.

7:00 AM

Now a wheel design change takes place. I enter the new wheel data into the panels of the robots 1and 2 and check the settings. I then make sure that robot 3 is also programmed correctly.

8:00 AM

The ball container with the used balls for the screw-on holes is full. I take care of it, the container as quickly as possible. The used balls are cleaned in the ball washing machine.

9:00 AM

Another change of the wheel model: This time, the screw-on holes are covered with paint plugs instead of balls. To do this, I switch off robot 2 so that the process continues to run smoothly.

12:00 PM

It's lunch break. I go to the food vending machine and get a snack.

12:30 PM

A colleague is testing a new paint in the wet paint booths provided for this purpose. Together we look we look at the viscosity of the paint and he explains to me what quantity needs to be used.

1:15 PM

The end of the day is approaching. Final preparations are made for the shift handover. I clean the floor with the wash cart. I also document the consumption of a big bag of powder. I use the hand scanner to check the big bag out of the system.

2:30 PM

End of work!
