YOUR WORK DAY

06:00 a.m.

My day starts with the shift handover. I discuss the sequence planning for the wheels currently to be painted, any faults that have occurred, news and work still to be done with the previous shift.

06:15 a.m.

Next, I check the paint settings for the paint booth and then visually inspect the wheels.

06:30 a.m.

During my daily round, I check robots 1-3 for correct function and adjustment. I also top up the container for the balls to cover the screw-on holes. I also measure the layer thickness of the primer during intermediate sanding.

07:00 a.m.

Now the wheel design is changed. I enter the new wheel data into the panels of robots 1 and 2 and check the settings. I then make sure that robot 3 is also programmed correctly.

08:00 a.m.

The ball container with the used balls for the screw-on holes is full. I take care of emptying the container as quickly as possible. The used balls are cleaned in the ball washer.

09:00 a.m.

Another change to the wheel model: this time the screw-on holes are covered with paint plugs instead of balls. To do this, I switch off robot 2 so that the process continues to run smoothly.

12:00 p.m.

It's lunch break. I go to the food vending machine and get a snack.

12:30 p.m.

A work colleague tests a new paint in the wet paint booths provided for this purpose. Together we check the viscosity of the paint and he explains to me how much needs to be used.

01:15 p.m.

The end of the working day is approaching. Final preparations are being made for the shift handover. I clean the floor with the washing trolley. I also document the consumption of a big bag of powder. I use the hand scanner to book the big bag out of the system.

02:30 p.m.

Closing time!
