YOUR WORK DAY
07:00 a.m.
My working day begins with a meeting with the journeyman, who tells me what tasks are scheduled for the day.
07:15 a.m.
Then I take the tool trolley to the machine and can start maintenance. First, I check that all cables are securely connected, then I clean the control cabinets and check that the circuit diagrams are clean and tidy.
I remove the sheet metal covers on the system to check the components underneath for dirt and wear. I replace any defective parts. Once everything is back in order, the covers are replaced.

09:00 a.m.
It's break time now. I can have a delicious breakfast in our canteen.
09:15 a.m.
Refreshed, we continue. The machines have many switches and buttons that may have come loose. I check these, reattach them or replace them. Defective light bulbs are replaced at the same time.
11:00 a.m.
The control cabinet contains many electronic components that are cooled by small fans. I have to check these and replace them if necessary. Together with my skilled worker, I measure whether the relays and contactors are switching correctly. I replace any that switch frequently or are defective immediately.
12:00 p.m.
Time for lunch break.
12:30 p.m.
The machine is put back into operation. All functions are checked and tested. If an error occurs, I try to fix it together with my skilled worker. Finally, there is a safety check. The emergency stop must always work!
03:50 p.m.
Now I'm done for the day. Tomorrow it's the next machine (processing cell) that's up.
