Five new trainees began their professional careers at BORBET Saxony on 4 August. The new cohort is starting in various technical and industrial professions and received a structured onboarding programme with practical insights into the company to kick things off.
Promoting young talent remains an integral part of the light alloy wheel manufacturer from Kodersdorf. On 4 August, five trainees (m/f/d) started their professional careers: one IT specialist for system integration, two electronics technicians for industrial engineering, one industrial mechanic and one mechatronics engineer.
Katrin Witzmann (HR officer) and the training managers welcomed the new intake to the administration department. A comprehensive onboarding programme ensured an optimal start. In the in-house training workshop, the young professionals got to know their trainers, contact persons and fellow trainees. During a tour of the factory, they gained their first insights into the production processes and how a BORBET light alloy wheel is made. The joint practical project, the construction of a bench, rounded off the induction days.
‘With sound training, we are laying the foundation for the skilled workers of tomorrow. We are delighted to accompany young people on this path and open up career prospects for them within the company,’ says Katrin Witzmann.
BORBET Saxony will once again be offering apprenticeships in various occupational fields in 2026. Interested students can find further information and application details at www.borbet.de/en/ausbildung. They can also gain an initial insight behind the scenes of an international automotive player as part of an internship.
