The design department is the heart of BORBET, where our vision for the future of the wheel industry is born. From the first sketches to the finished product, every step is done in-house to ensure the highest quality and innovation.

As an essential element of a vehicle, the light alloy wheel significantly characterises its appearance. That is why our development process starts by taking into account the technical specifications (such as diameter, brake contour, bolt holes, centre bore, wheel load, etc.) and feasibility (such as FEM calculation and casting simulation).

Our designers first translate ideas into 2D sketches before bringing them to life in detailed 3D models. State-of-the-art rendering software is used to create realistic representations that showcase different surfaces and colour variants. Photomontages on vehicles visualise the effect of our wheels and make it possible to identify and implement current trends.

In a market that is constantly evolving, we focus on versatility and individualisation. Thanks to modern customisation processes, there are virtually no limits to our design options. We pick up on current trends and implement them with passion and precision.

Weight plays a decisive role, especially in the age of e-mobility. That is why we attach great importance to efficiency and aerodynamics, without neglecting sportiness.

While customers specify their wheel designs in the OEM business, we also develop numerous designs of our own for the aftermarket. Here we combine our technical expertise with creative freedom to create unique and appealing designs.
