Undercut describes an automated technique in which all non-load-bearing areas of the wheel rim bed are removed by mechanical processing. The result: lower wheel weight with the same strength. The higher ventilation cross-section also improves ventilation.
TX Icon Glossy Turning1
During glossy turning, the surface is turned on a high-precision, computer-controlled CNC lathe using a diamond cutting insert so that it reflects the light and brings out the natural lustre of the metal. After machining, the wheels are sealed with clear lacquer.
TX Icon Underut2
The secrets of automated FlowForming are rotation and pressure: the compaction of the rim base by pressure rollers leads to greater stability and a more delicate rim base thickness. The wheel becomes lighter and more resistant and impresses with significantly better driving dynamics.
